Financial Aid

The Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) needs to be completed in order for the federal government, state governments and colleges to award financial aid. Once it is finished and submitted, you will be notified as to whether or not you are eligible for grants, scholarships, work-study programs and federal student loans.

The site opens its application beginning October 1st of every year. Try to complete the FAFSA as soon as you can after October 1st. This gives you a greater opportunity for financial aid. The FAFSA will need to be completed each year you are attending college.

NEVER, EVER, EVER pay to complete the FAFSA. Use only the site that ends in .gov. This is a free application, but there are sites out there that will try and get you to pay to fill out your information. Only use the site listed below.

The FAFSA deadline is June 30, 2024, but check your college website because they may have an earlier deadline for completion.
